Job summary

Ganton School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to ensure a safe, engaging lunchtime environment for pupils aged 2–19 with complex learning needs. You will supervise individuals and groups, support wellbeing, and promote positive interactions under the guidance of senior staff.

The role is 7.5 hours per week during term time (190 days a year), with start ASAP after checks. A first aid qualification is preferred, and safeguarding experience is valued. Applications close 8am on 30 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children across age groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan and engage group activities
• Willingness to undertake first aid training and safeguarding duties

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during the midday lunch break
• Assist in the dining hall and support good eating habits
• Plan and deliver playground activities to encourage group play
• Address behavioural issues following senior guidance
• Provide basic first aid and care for sick or injured children
