Job summary

Reading Borough Council is seeking a Lunchtime Controller at Moorlands Primary School in Tilehurst to join a warm, friendly team and help provide a secure, happy lunchtime for children.

The role is 5 hours per week, term time only, permanent, with start ASAP. Duties include supervising inside and outside, and assisting in the dining room to promote healthy eating, while following the school's Behaviour Policy.

Qualifications

• Flexible, energetic and patient with pupils and staff.
• Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Sense of humour and a responsible attitude.
• Understanding of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the clearing up of games and toys inside and outside.
• Using the School’s Behaviour Policy to manage pupil behaviour.
• Assisting children in the dining room and encouraging healthy eating.
