Job summary

St Michael is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor / Teaching Assistant to join our nursery team. The role is part-time, 11.25 hours per week, term-time only, with shifts from 11:45am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, start ASAP.

The post blends lunchtime supervision with classroom support, helping create a safe, calm, and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will engage with children and work closely with staff to support learning during the lunch period.

Qualifications

• Conscientious candidate who values play and engages with children
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated staff team
• Willingness to support pupils including those with special educational needs

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and clearing tables and seating in lunchtime area
• Supervise pupils during lunch and ensure cleanliness and water availability
• Support pupils with eating and promote healthy eating and good table manners
• Ensure behaviour policies are followed and supervise pupils with SEND as needed
• Establish positive relationships with pupils and support learning activities
