Job summary

Weald Rise Primary School seeks a friendly and dependable Relief School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to supervise pupils during lunchtimes, support safe and positive lunchtime activities, and promote inclusive behaviour. DBS clearance and willingness to undertake training are required.

Prior school experience is desirable and training will be provided. The role emphasizes safeguarding, teamwork, and proactive communication with staff to ensure pupils’ safety and wellbeing during midday

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in dining areas, corridors and playground during midday break.
• Attend to health, welfare and safety of pupils in line with school policies.
• Assist with meal service, toileting, handwashing and supervision of lunch routines.
• Report accidents/incidents promptly to senior supervisor.
