Job summary

Outwood Academy Ormesby is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to support the health, safety and well-being of students during lunch. You will supervise the dining hall, model exemplary conduct and respond quickly to behavioural issues, ensuring a calm, safe environment.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with a DBS check mandatory and a commitment to safeguarding students during the lunchtime period.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, teamwork and caring skills.
• Ability to make quick intervention decisions to prevent injuries or escalate to the Principal when needed.
• DBS check is mandatory; knowledge of basic hygiene and first aid is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and well-being of students during lunchtime across the site.
• Supervise dining hall and designated areas; model outstanding conduct, manners, speech and appearance.
• Intervene in behavioural issues using positive behaviour management strategies.
• Assist in keeping the dining environment clean and safe; clear tables and tidy equipment.
