Job summary

Horton Park Primary School is seeking a caring and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team in Bradford. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and on the playground, fostering a calm, inclusive lunchtime experience where children can eat, play, socialise, and thrive.

The role focuses on promoting positive behaviour, supporting child welfare, and helping pupils develop confidence and resilience through collaborative teamwork with staff and governors within Exceed Academies Trust.

• Experience working with children or young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, welfare, and wellbeing at all times.
• Create a calm, positive, and enjoyable dining environment, encouraging good manners and healthy social interaction.
• Support and encourage positive play experiences, helping children develop friendships, confidence, and resilience.
• Promote inclusion by ensuring all children feel valued, supported, and able to participate in lunchtime activities.
• Help children resolve minor disagreements and model positive behaviours and respectful relationships.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure lunchtimes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.
• Have experience of working with children or young people and a genuine commitment to supporting their development.
