Job summary

Exceed Academies Trust is seeking two Fixed Term Lunchtime Supervisors for Copthorne Primary School in Bradford for 12 months. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and on the playground, promote good manners and safe play, and help create a positive lunchtime experience.

The role emphasises safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing, and requires prior experience with children in a similar setting. A supportive team and community-focused school will welcome you.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a similar role.
• Understanding safeguarding and wellbeing in a school setting.
• Ability to promote inclusive lunchtime play and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, encouraging positive behaviour and a calm atmosphere.
• Monitor and support pupils on the playground and in indoor/outdoor areas during lunchtime.
• Encourage positive play and help children join in games, resolving minor conflicts.
• Support the smooth running of lunchtimes by setting up or clearing away equipment as needed.
• Model and reinforce the school's behaviour expectations and safeguarding policies at all times.
• Demonstrate experience working with children in a similar role.
• Understand the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting.
