Job summary

Morice Town Primary Academy in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Mealtime Assistant to join the team from November 2026. The post is permanent, part-time (39 weeks per year) with 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, to supervise pupils during lunchtimes.

We are looking for a caring individual who can interact with children, promote safety, and support dining room activities. DBS check required; term-time schedule applies. Application details and closing dates are provided in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children is not essential, but a caring attitude and readiness to supervise during lunchtimes is important.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of pupils during lunchtimes.
• Encourage good table manners and assist with clearing away plates and wiping spills.
• Supervise play on the playground and coordinate or initiate safe games.
• Deal with minor first aid incidents as required.
