Job summary

Parkland Primary School South Wigston is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join our lunchtime staff. You will support pupils during lunch hours, helping to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes positive social skills and learning.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 12:20pm to 1:20pm, totaling 5 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with ongoing opportunities to contribute to the welfare and development of our pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Empathy towards children and ability to support their wellbeing.
• Ability to follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the lunch area and manage queues.
• Assist with clearing away, tidying the eating area and cleaning spills.
• Supervise pupils after lunch inside or outside, ensuring health and safety and discipline.
• Maintain safe conduct and good order, responding to incidents in line with policy.
