Job summary

Ark Little Ridge Primary Academy in Hastings is seeking a part‑time Midday Supervisory Assistant to oversee safe, enjoyable lunchtimes and supervise pupils during lunchbreaks both indoors and outdoors.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience building positive relationships with children, and a genuine interest in children's welfare and play. You will engage pupils in lunchtime activities and use your initiative to adapt to weather and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Experience establishing positive relationships with children.
• Enthusiasm for and active interest in children's welfare and play.
• Able to engage pupils in purposeful lunchtime activity and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for safe, happy lunchtimes for pupils in all areas inside and outside the school.
• Engage pupils in purposeful play and activities during lunch, in good and wet weather, using initiative and new ideas.
