Job summary

Purfleet Primary Academy is seeking a caring Midday Assistant to join the lunchtime team. You will aid children with table manners and cutlery, help run play activities, and promote positive behaviour to ensure a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience.

The role involves basic first aid duties and safeguarding responsibilities, with a focus on creating a supportive environment for all pupils during lunch breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary aged children.
• A basic understanding of child development.
• Enthusiasm and dedication for supporting pupils during lunchtime.

Responsibilities

• Support children with table manners and use of cutlery during lunchtime.
• Coordinate a range of fun and engaging play activities.
• Promote positive behaviour throughout the lunchtime period.
• Administer minor first aid and ensure welfare and safety of all children.
• Create a safe and enjoyable lunchtime environment for all pupils.
