Job summary

Ss John Fisher and Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Wythenshawe is seeking a Lunchtime Organiser on a permanent basis to supervise pupils during lunch and beyond as required by the Headteacher. The role is 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, starting at 11.30am.

You will help create a positive lunchtime atmosphere, assist with minor accidents when needed, and ensure health, safety and safeguarding procedures are followed properly within the school community.

Qualifications

• Establish a good rapport with the students in your care.
• Be professional, friendly, patient and understanding towards the pupils.
• Be flexible, motivated and able to follow instructions, remaining calm in difficult circumstances.
• Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• To help create a positive atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for the students and staff.
• To take students who have minor accidents for first aid where necessary, and comfort and reassure them if first aid is not necessary.
• To ensure that all health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed correctly.
