Job summary

Brays School in Birmingham is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during lunch and play times. The role is part-time, term-time only, 7.5 hours per week, with start date as soon as possible.

You will help set up dining areas, supervise arrivals, assist with trays, and promote a safe, positive dining environment. Brays School, a specialist day school for pupils with complex needs, values wellbeing and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear dining areas, tables and chairs.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Supervise children's entry into the dining room.
• Assist children with trays and return dishes to the service counter.
• Supervise play in the playground or other areas, addressing incidents per policy.
• Keep dining areas clean and tidy.
• Organise play and games as appropriate.
• Assist children who are unwell.
• Be prepared to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Support the importance of play and inclusivity.
