Job summary

St Francis Catholic Primary School in Birmingham is seeking a Dinner Supervisor to join our friendly team and supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes. The role is part-time, term-time only, with a pro rata salary based on 64 1/2 days and a start date of 16th November 2026.

The successful candidate will foster safe, respectful play, support children’s wellbeing and work with the school team to maintain positive values and safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other lunchtime areas.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage good manners.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children during lunchtime.
• Support children in developing positive friendships and play.
• Assist with minor first aid incidents and report any concerns appropriately.
• Work effectively as part of the wider school team.
