Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust in Reading is seeking a lively team player to enthuse children in our academy. You will have excellent communication with young children and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as with an established team. An EY qualification at level 2 or 3 would be an advantage.

Appropriate training will be available. The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Qualifications

• EY qualification level 2 or 3 would be an advantage.
• Experience working with young children is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and clearing away tables/areas for lunch.
• Supervise lunchtime welfare inside and outside the building.
• Monitor behaviour in line with school policy.
• Lead play activities and support inclusion during sessions.
• Administer basic First Aid and record accidents.
• Observe Health and Safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
• Undertake safeguarding training and uphold school policies.
