Job summary

Copthorne Primary School is recruiting two Fixed Term Lunchtime Supervisors for 12 months. The role focuses on supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground, promoting safe, positive lunchtime experiences and inclusive play, while upholding safeguarding and school values.

Successful candidates will support lunchtime routines, manage behaviour, and model the school's expectations. Experience with children in similar roles is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a similar role.
• Understand safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting.
• Demonstrate ability to support lunch time routines and supervise pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, encouraging positive behaviour and a calm atmosphere
• Monitor and support pupils on the playground and in indoor/outdoor areas during lunchtime
• Encourage positive play and help children join in games and resolve minor conflicts
• Support the smooth running of lunchtimes by setting up or clearing away equipment as needed
• Model and reinforce the school's behaviour expectations and safeguarding policies
