Academics are currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to support primary schools across Sheffield. This is a temporary, flexible ongoing supply opportunity for someone who is looking to work during school lunchtimes and gain valuable experience within an education setting.

The role involves supervising pupils, promoting safe behaviour, and assisting with lunchtime activities across schools in Sheffield. DBS checks (or willingness to obtain one) are preferred to start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• A calm, patient and approachable manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work effectively within a school team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period
• Encourage positive behaviour and respectful interactions
• Support inclusive games and activities
• Assist younger pupils where appropriate
• Monitor pupils across indoor and outdoor areas

Academics are currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to support primary schools across Sheffield. This is a temporary, flexible ongoing supply opportunity for someone who is looking to work during school lunchtimes and gain valuable experience within an education setting.

Position: Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £14.24 - £15 per hour (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP / September

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will help schools provide a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience for pupils. Working across schools in Sheffield, you will supervise children in the dining hall, playground and other areas of the school while encouraging positive behaviour and inclusive play.

The Lunchtime Supervisor role is particularly suited to individuals who enjoy working with children and would like flexible school-based employment. It could also provide useful experience for anyone considering a future career as a Teaching Assistant or within education.
