Job summary

St Margaret's Church of England Primary School is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to support pupils across dining hall, playground and classrooms. You will help ensure positive behaviour, assist with basic first aid and keep records in line with school procedures.

The role requires enhanced DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. You will contribute to a safe, caring school environment while modelling its Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the dining hall, playground, classrooms and quiet spaces so they behave, eat and play well
• Apply the school behaviour policy to challenging or unacceptable behaviour, seeking senior advice when needed
• Care for unwell or injured children, deal with minor injuries and report concerns to the Head or a designated first aider
• Keep incident and accident records, completing an accident report for every accident
• Inform teaching staff of significant behaviour, good and bad
• Supervise children moving around the school in a calm and ordered manner
• Clean tables and seats before children come into lunch
• Stack trays correctly and clean up spilt food and drinks
• Clear up bodily fluids safely
• Build positive, appropriate relationships with children
• Uphold the school's Christian values and ethos in conduct with children and adults
• Carry out health and safety duties, liaise with staff, keep matters confidential and complete first aid, health and safety and safeguarding training
