Job summary

Learn Academies Trust is seeking a part-time, permanent Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the school lunch break, ensuring health, safety and security in and around the dining area. You will work 11.55am to 1.10pm, term time plus one holiday week, helping with supervision, behaviour and basic first-aid as required, and you will undergo DBS and safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils during lunch and maintain order.
  • Assist with clearing away and tidying the eating area.
  • Supervise pupils after lunch inside or outside the building, ensuring health, safety and security.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding/Child Protection policies and DBS checks.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Supervise pupils in the area in which they eat their lunch.
  • Assist and supervise the clearing away and tidying of the eating area.
  • Supervise pupils after lunch, either inside or outside of the school building, being especially vigilant as to the health, safety and security of the pupils within their care, and in accordance with the School Behaviour Policy.
  • Ensure reasonable behaviour and safe conduct of pupils by maintaining good order and discipline, dealing as appropriate (including restraint) with all incidents of disorder ensuring that any disruption is minimised.
  • Attend to accidents in the playground in accordance with the School procedure and guidelines on accidents and their treatment.
  • To adhere to our Safeguarding/Child Protection policies at all times, Our Schools/Trust and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. For all short-listed candidates, references will be requested in advance of the interview, and an online search will be carried out. The successful applicant will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure, proof of ID, social media checks, medical clearance, and checks regarding the right to work in the UK.

A Lunchtime Supervisor will responsibility for the health and safety and security of children during the School lunch break.

Grade 4, 6.25 hours, 39 weeks (term time only + 1 week during the holidays) £3,584.69 (Actual) Working pattern: 11.55am to 1.10pm, Mondays to Fridays
