Job summary

St Piers in Lingfield, Surrey, UK, is seeking a Lunchtime Support Worker to care for students with SEN during the lunch period. The role is term-time only (39 weeks) and part-time (15 hours per week) with a focus on creating a safe, inclusive lunchtime environment.

You will support eating, social interaction and routines, ensuring safety and wellbeing while collaborating with teaching and support staff to meet individual care plans. Salary £12.71–£13.09 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Patient and kind with young people.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach.
• Experience with SEN preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support students during lunch, including encouragement with eating and drinking.
• Assist students with moving safely between areas.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Support individual needs in line with care and support plans.
• Ensure students’ safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
