Job summary

Esteem North Academy is seeking a Midday Support Assistant to supervise lunchtime meals for primary pupils. The role involves serving breakfast? No, lunch.

You will collect lunches from nearby venues and serve them on site, with minimal kitchen prep. You will work with SEND pupils, support their eating and active needs, and adhere to safety policies. This post requires safeguarding commitment, resilience, and a willingness to travel to other academy sites for meetings or CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience with food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and support pupils with SEND.
• Willingness to contribute to safeguarding and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Cater for primary pupils at lunchtime in classrooms with minimal on-site food prep.
• Collect lunches from adjacent venues and serve on site.
• Support pupils with eating, toileting and play during lunch.
• Follow risk assessments and COSHH requirements for safety.
