Job summary

Waterwells Primary is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant & Play Worker to support daily lunchtime routines, supervise play, and foster safe, engaging activities for children aged 3-11. The role supports a two-form entry school within Greenshaw Learning Trust, promoting well-being and positive behaviour across the school day.

The post invites applicants who are keen to develop play-work skills, with CPD and safeguarding training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary age children.
• Enjoy working with young people and maintain a positive, supportive attitude.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Friendly, approachable manner and reliable with good time keeping.
• Willingness to undertake CPD for play work, first aid and safeguarding qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist children at lunch and help with meal routines.
• Set up, clean, pack down and store dining furniture.
• Facilitate play opportunities and be an ambassador for play.
• Ensure a safe play environment and that children visit the dining hall for lunch.
• Record incidents and assist with first aid as trained; report site issues.
