Job summary

Piper Hill High School in Manchester is seeking a Lunchtime Organiser to supervise students during lunchtime and support healthy eating and lunchtime clubs. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:30–13:30, term-time only.

The starting salary is £9,045 per annum, with full-time equivalent £25,185, and the post is permanent. The successful applicant must be eligible to work in the UK with excellent spoken English.

• Undertake activities with groups of students during lunchtime clubs e.g. football, outdoor play, magazine club, art club, sensory story club.
• To assist at tables and to support student food choices and development skills.
• To report serious incidents and accidents to Senior staff.
• Taking students who have minor accidents or are unwell to seek first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, comforting and reassuring them.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lunchtime Organiser to join our fantastic team at Piper Hill High School

This is a Grade 2, permanent post working 15 hours per week, 10:30-13:30 Monday to Friday term time only. The starting salary is £9,045 and the full time equivalent is £25,185

To start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete.

Main purpose of the job

You will supervise students in the dining areas and elsewhere as required to provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate.

You will help create an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities include

• Develop good professional relationships with students and other staff members.

We are recruiting for part time Lunchtime Organisers to work in our special educational needs school.

You will provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff.

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK with excellent spoken English to converse at ease to support pupils during their lunchtime. You will also need to have a basic understanding of child development and learning.
