Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Lunchtime Organiser at Ss John Fisher and Thomas More Catholic Primary School on a permanent basis to supervise pupils during lunch and related times under the Headteacher's direction.

The role is 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, starting at 11.30am. The post offers the opportunity to contribute to a caring Catholic ethos, with pension scheme and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Supervision of pupils during lunch and recreation.
• Basic first aid for minor incidents and reassurance to pupils.
• Ability to follow health and safeguarding procedures and school policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and other times as required by the Headteacher.
• Provide comfort and basic first aid for minor injuries.
• Ensure health and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
• Establish a positive rapport with students and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Be flexible, calm and able to follow instructions in challenging situations.
• Support colleagues within the school and Catholic academy trust.

Lunchtime Organiser

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wish to appoint a Lunchtime Organiser at Ss John Fisher and Thomas More Catholic Primary School on a permanent basis to supervise pupils in the dining areas and elsewhere as required by the Headteacher.

The hours of work will be 1.5 per day Monday to Friday, starting at 11.30am.

Main duties of the role

• To help create a positive atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for the students and staff
• To take students who have minor accidents for first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, to comfort and reassure them
• To ensure that all health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed correctly, Applicants are advised that schools and colleges designated with a religious character in England and Wales are permitted by law to require certain posts to be filled by practising Catholics or individuals who hold a Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies. Where it is not a requirement of the role to be a practising Catholic, applications are invited from individuals committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
