Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking a proactive Midday Meal Supervisor for a SEN primary school in Streatham. The role includes supervising lunch, supporting pupils aged 4–11, and assisting with personal care where required. Term-time only with some days starting early to support additional classes.

The school supports children with Autism (ASD) and other complex needs; you will engage during lunchtime and contribute to classroom activities while maintaining safeguarding and a caring approach.

Qualifications

• Proactive and energetic candidate with patience and compassion.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism, preferred.
• Ability to manage behaviours calmly and effectively in a school setting.
• Comfort with personal care tasks such as feeding and changing when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lunchtime activities for children aged 4–11.
• Assist with feeding and personal care during lunch and classroom sessions.
• Support pupils during outdoor play and routine activities.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
