Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team at Grimsby. You will support lunch-time service, food prep, serving, and maintain high hygiene standards.

Experience in catering is preferred; a Level 2 Food Safety qualification is required or you must be willing to undertake it. The role is 10 hours per week during term time, with occasional evening work as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience preferred, ideally in an educational setting.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification required or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of catering service including food preparation and serving.
• Simple cooking, setting up and clearing dining areas, washing up.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene; stock control.
• Assist with cash handling and provide friendly customer service.
