Job summary

Larkmead School in Abingdon, England is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant to support pupils' social and personal needs during lunch breaks, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all pupils.

This term-time role runs 38 weeks, Monday to Friday, 12:30–2:30pm, with a commitment of 5 to 10 hours each week. The successful candidate will help supervise pupils, assist with First Aid, and uphold safeguarding practices in line with school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pupils during lunch breaks.
• Ability to administer basic First Aid when needed.
• Good communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils and maintain relationships during lunch breaks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with school staff.
• Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour and security in line with school policies.
• Assist with the management of communal areas, picking up litter and emptying bins.
• Follow wet lunchtime procedures.
• Administer basic First Aid in the play areas and refer/report to designated staff.
