Job summary

The Grange School in Levenshulme, Manchester, is seeking a Lunchtime Organiser to supervise pupils, promote healthy eating and assist with personal care during lunch periods.

You will run engaging lunchtime activities and clubs, cooperate with teachers and support staff to ensure pupil wellbeing, and help pupils build positive relationships. This is a permanent term-time role, 10 hours/week, with a starting salary of £6,229; full-time equivalent £26,016.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with children, families and staff.
• Ability to support pupils with dignity and care.
• Understanding safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• supervise pupils during lunch and recreation.
• help with feeding, toileting, changing and handwashing.
• encourage independence, social interaction and positive behaviour.
• lead lunchtime clubs and activities (sports, arts, sensory).
• provide care to pupils who are unwell or have minor accidents.
• work with teachers and staff to ensure wellbeing and safety.
• follow training for safe use of equipment.
• foster positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
