Job summary

MyNewTerm is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee children during the school lunch period. You will support meals, reinforce hygiene and safety rules, and assist with activities to promote learning and social interaction.

You will interact positively with pupils, monitor behaviour, and report any concerns to the teaching staff in line with school policies. Duties include safeguarding, incident recording, and assisting with emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Supervise children during lunch period following school policies.
• Complete incident records per policy.
• Interact positively to engage children in activities.
• Assist with meals: hand-washing, cutlery use, table manners.
• Be aware of allergies and dietary needs for safety.
• Assist with personal hygiene where needed.
• Organise approved group activities with teaching staff.
• Ensure safe indoor activities during wet lunch breaks.
• Handle emergencies per school procedures and inform staff.
• Report progress or behavioural issues to teachers.
• Follow security and child protection policies.
