Job summary

INDELSEN is seeking a Lunch Time Teaching Assistant to join its SEND school team in Croydon, London. This part-time role runs from 11.30am to 1.45pm, Monday to Friday, and involves supervising lunchtime activities, helping pupils with meals and basic personal care.

Compassionate, patient candidates with good communication skills are encouraged; experience with autism or learning difficulties is helpful. DBS update service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as a Midday Meal Supervisor or School Support.
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities is desirable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
• Available 5 days a week and able to commit.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils over lunch time.
• Assist with Personal Care
• Supervising children's behaviour
• Supporting with Lunch time duties, assisting with feeding.
