Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a part-time Lunch Time Domestic Assistant for Brynamlwg Day Service. The role involves serving meals at lunch, assisting with domestic duties, and maintaining hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for service users.

The position requires working 10 hours per week (Mon–Fri) with potential to cover across 7 days between 7:30am and 7:30pm. DBS check is Enhanced Adults Disclosure required.

Qualifications

• Basic training in Food Hygiene will be an advantage.
• Willing to undertake training provided by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Serving meals to service users and staff at lunch times.
• Carry out related domestic duties.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the Day Service.
• Provide relief cover for additional domestic duties as required.

Hours: 10 hours per week, currently Monday – Friday. Maybe required to work across 7 days a week between 7.30am and 7.30pm (there may be a requirement to occasionally work outside the core hours)

Location of post: Brynamlwg Complex Health Day Service.

We are currently looking for a Lunch Time Domestic Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

Serving of meals to service users and staff at lunch times and to carry out related domestic duties. To assist in the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene within the Day Service. To support the team in the provision of a clean, safe and comfortable environment for service users. To provide relief cover for additional domestic duties as required.

Basic training in Food Hygiene will be an advantage. Otherwise the post holder will be expected to undertake training provided by the Department.
