Job summary

Grandir UK’s Chingford Forest Day Nursery in Chingford, London is hiring a Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover) to care for and support children during the 11am-3pm shift.

You will help children thrive, follow EYFS guidance, and work with a friendly team to maintain high standards and strong parent partnerships.

The role offers flexible hours and competitive hourly pay (£12.71-£14.62) with regular pay reviews and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery.
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties.
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately.
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child.
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff.
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers.
