Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Level 2 Lunch Cover Nursery Practitioner for a newly opened nursery. This part-time role supports lunchtime routines and meals, with shifts from 10:00am-2:00pm or 11:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate has Level 2 Early Years qualification, EYFS understanding and a warm, nurturing approach to children's learning. The role offers a supportive team and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Early Years qualification or above, essential.
• Experience in nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good EYFS knowledge, safeguarding and child development.
• Ability to support daily routines and care needs.
• Warm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Genuine passion for children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team during lunchtime and daily routines.
• Assist children with meals, encouraging independence and healthy eating habits.
• Provide high-quality care and support in line with the EYFS.
• Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
• Support engaging, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and rest routines.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming nursery environment.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures.

Up to £12.71 per Hour | 20 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday

Looking for a rewarding Early Years role with shorter working hours that fit around your day?

We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Lunch Cover Nursery Practitioner to join a newly opened nursery, supporting the team during the busy lunchtime period.

The nursery offers bright, airy rooms filled with high-quality learning resources, alongside fantastic outdoor spaces with free-flow access. Children are encouraged to explore, develop independence and learn through play in a safe, welcoming environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing nursery team while enjoying a convenient, part-time working pattern.

What We're Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification or above - essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
• Confidence supporting children's daily routines and individual care needs
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
