The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Lunch Cover Nursery Practitioner for our Moseley-based team in Birmingham. This role involves creating a warm, nurturing environment and delivering play-based activities to support children's development.

No formal qualifications are required, though prior childcare experience is beneficial. The role is on-site with daytime hours, and DBS checks and right-to-work verification apply.

Pay: £12.71 - £12.71 per Hour
Working Hours:Monday - Friday - 15 hours per week - 3 hours a day

About our Nursery

Our Nursery in Moseley is set within a beautiful period property to the east of Birmingham. The nursery consists of six rooms, all providing plenty of space for children to safely explore and investigate the environment around them. All the rooms in our Moseley nursery are designed to enhance children’s curiosity and their drive to build on their knowledge and understanding. We are located in east Birmingham on Wake Green Road, just off the A41 and a short distance from Hall Green Train Station. Parking is available outside the nursery.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
