Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in Gloucestershire is recruiting for education and the public sector. SEN & Support role offers one-to-one and classroom support to students with SEND, collaborating with teaching staff to foster confidence, independence and progress.

You'll adapt approaches to meet EHCP needs, maintain a safe inclusive learning environment, and currently offered full-time or part-time contracts. Weekly pay and local Gloucestershire site-based work at Cheltenham.

Are you passionate about helping students with additional needs build confidence, independence and real progress?

About the Role

You will provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs and disabilities, working alongside teaching staff to help every learner engage with their studies and reach their individual goals. You'll bring patience, encouragement and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Working both one to one and in the classroom, you'll adapt your approach to suit different needs, creating a supportive environment where students feel able to develop and thrive. This is a contract role with a further education provider Gloucestershire.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and classroom-based support to students with SEND.
• Working closely with teaching staff to help learners engage with lessons and activities.
• Encouraging students to build confidence, independence and practical skills.
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
• Supporting learners in line with their individual EHCP requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Experience of supporting learners with special educational needs
• An understanding of what an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) is and how it informs support
• Confidence working both one to one and within a classroom setting
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Patience, encouragement and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
