Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a SEMH school in South Bristol. You will support students with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage with learning and build positive relationships.

This full-time role is term-time only with an opportunity to secure a permanent position. Experience with young people is desirable and you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or Support Worker looking for a rewarding role supporting young people?

Vision for Education are working with a specialist SEMH school in South Bristol who are looking for a confident and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports secondary-aged students with social, emotional and mental health needs, including those who may display challenging behaviours.

This role would suit someone who has experience working with young people and is confident building positive relationships with students who may have experienced barriers to education.

The role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students throughout the school day, helping them to engage with learning, manage their emotions and develop positive relationships with staff and peers.

You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide consistent support, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their individual goals.

Requirements
