Job summary

Tempest Resourcing are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist school in Watford. The role focuses on supporting children and young people with additional needs, with SEMH experience highly beneficial.

Experience in Early Years is encouraged, particularly those with strong development and behaviour support skills. You will join a supportive team and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an LSA/TA in a school setting is preferred.
• SEMH experience is highly desirable for this role.
• Early Years experience is advantageous for supporting development and behaviours.
• Patient, caring and confident in supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong behaviour-management and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs in day-to-day activities.
• Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing groups.

About the Role

Tempest Resourcing are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist school in Watford. The school is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.

Experience working with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs would be highly beneficial. Candidates with an Early Years background are also encouraged to apply, particularly those with strong experience supporting children's development and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as an LSA, TA or Learning Support Assistant
• SEMH experience is highly desirable
• Early Years experience would also be considered
• Patient, caring and confident in supporting pupils with additional needs
