Learning Mentor

Start Date: ASAP

Job Title / Role: Learning Mentor

Sector: Education

Location: Chelsea

Morgan Hunt is exclusively working with a college based in Chelsea that is looking for experienced Learning Mentors to join their team.

The college is seeking Learning Mentors to start ASAP on a long-term, full-time basis.

About the Role:

Each class has 10+ pupils. Your role will be to ensure students are engaged and focused during lessons. The learners' ages range from 13-18 years old, and some students may display challenging behaviours, so de-escalation skills are essential. You will support the class teacher throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing pupils' behaviour
  • Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support under the instruction of the class teacher
  • Assisting students with their life skills
You Must:
  • Have experience in an educational setting, preferably in a PRU or SEND provision
  • Have previous experience working with students with ASD, SEMH, or in a 1:1 support role
  • Be available full-time
  • Possess a flexible work ethic and be willing to adapt and meet deadlines
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service
