Job summary

Prospero Teaching seeks a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a SEND primary school in Bromley, BR1. This full-time role starts in September and requires an Enhanced DBS.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners with SEMH needs, helping them stay engaged and progress academically. Under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll implement behaviour support plans, build positive relationships, and support pupils during transitions.

Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Availability for full-time work (Monday-Friday, term time).
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or SEND is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to follow behaviour support plans as part of a team.

We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND primary school in Bromley. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
