Transport Driver

Role: Cat C1 General Service Driver required for the Transport Department at NHS Grampian.

The position involves transporting supplies, stores, equipment, and laundry across NHS Grampian, adhering to manual handling regulations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading cages, pods, bags, containers, and stocking the vehicle for daily runs.

Requirements: Flexibility with working hours and days based on service needs. Politeness and courtesy towards staff, customers, and the public are essential. PPE must be worn as provided.

You’ll Also Be Required To:

  • Hold a full class C1 licence, CPC card, and tachograph card; driving experience preferred. No DR10.
  • Carry out vehicle checks, report mechanical defects, and maintain vehicles to a high standard.
  • Check loads for accuracy and ensure efficient loading/unloading at delivery points.
  • Be capable of manual handling heavy loads.
  • Undertake training for development and progression.
  • Demonstrate proactive road safety attitude and perform other reasonable duties.
  • Be punctual, reliable, well presented, and communicate effectively face-to-face.
