Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd. is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise the Canvey Island terminal, leading a shift team of technicians, contractors and security staff to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will manage day-to-day activities and respond to plant conditions, with responsibility as Incident Controller during emergencies. In this role you will oversee LPG storage, marine jetty activities, pressure and cryogenic systems, and overall safety compliance across a 24/7 operation, supporting reliability

Qualifications

• Experience with plant operations and control systems (SCADA/DCS).
• Knowledge of LPG and cryogenic systems.
• Familiarity with COMAH site regulations and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise terminal operations including LPG storage, jetty activities, pressure systems, cryogenic plant and utilities.
• Ensure compliance with SHE policies and procedures.
• Manage Permit to Work system and safe work practices.
• Monitor stock inventories to meet demand and scheduling.
• Lead and develop shift team, ensuring training and competency.
• Act as Incident Controller during emergencies and coordinate with responders.
• Supervise contractor activities to maintain safety and performance.
• Maintain accurate operation and maintenance records for reporting.
