Job summary

Poten & Partners is seeking an entry level Operator to learn and manage a portfolio of VLGC voyages and LPG trades. The role includes training, regular client communication, and handling documentation and freight cost calculations.

The successful candidate should have a degree, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, diverse international environment. UK work eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a portfolio of VLGC voyages and LPG trades after training.
• Communicate regularly with international and domestic clients.
• Ensure contractual deadlines are met for each fixture.
• Review and draft import/export documentation and letters of indemnity.
• Calculate freight costs and assist with negotiation of claims.

Level: This is an entry level role with no prior experience required – however previous experience in LPG or a marine commercial/operational role would be advantageous

About the role:

As an Operator at Poten & Partners you will be trained to operate a portfolio of VLGC voyages and LPG trades which have been brokered by our freight and product teams. Experience as a marine operator or in the LPG sector is welcomed but is not required. After a training period, the role will involve regular communication with international and domestic clients and key responsibilities will include ensuring contractual deadlines are met for each fixture, reviewing and drafting import/export documentation and letters of indemnity, calculation of freight costs, and assisting with the negotiation of claims.
