Job summary

Qualifications

• Assists in implementing curriculum activities and lesson plans.
• Follows program schedule for classroom, outdoor time and activities.
• Counsels children on social, academic or adjust­ment issues.
• Helps establish room arrangement and learning environment per program goals.
• Maintains classroom bulletin boards and displays.
• Accepts temporary assignments when staff are unavailable.
• Has knowledge of ACSI accreditation goals and ongoing professional development.
• Completes 24 hours of professional education and 4 hours Bible education annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily written updates to parents as needed.
• Support lead teacher in daily classroom supervision and activities.
• Assist with positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom and play areas.
