Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is seeking an Electrical Network Asset Inspector (Low-Voltage) to inspect, problem-solve and engage with customers while ensuring safety and compliance. Based across the specified locations, you will carry out detailed inspections of low-voltage cables, record findings with handheld tech, secure access, and act as a company ambassador.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting electrical cables, meters, wiring and installations.
• Good working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspections of low-voltage cables branching from the main distribution network.
• Record accurate inspection data using handheld technology and ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Identify asset defects and route them through the proper channels, with safety as priority.
• Secure access by liaising with landowners, tenants and property managers and resolve refusals as needed.
• Act as a company ambassador, presenting a professional image to customers.
