Job summary

The Best Connection Eastbourne is actively recruiting a Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join a trusted partner. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of plant machinery and equipment to various sites across the region.

You’ll be responsible for: operating a Class 1 low loader vehicle, loading and securing equipment, completing paperwork, and maintaining high safety standards while communicating with site managers and transport teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience operating low loader vehicles.
• Good knowledge of load securing procedures.
• Strong awareness of road safety and transport regulations.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 low loader vehicle to transport plant and machinery.
• Load and secure equipment safely using appropriate restraints.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time.
• Complete relevant paperwork and adhere to transport regulations.

• Communicate professionally with site managers, customers, and transport teams.
• Represent the company in a professional manner whilst on site and on the road.
