Job summary

The Best Connection Eastbourne is seeking a Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join their team in Heathfield. You will transport plant and machinery safely to sites across the region, loading and securing loads, and completing daily vehicle checks.

You must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC card and Digital Tachograph, with experience operating low loaders and knowledge of load securing. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required; weekly pay and temp-to-perm opportunities

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience operating low loader vehicles.
• Knowledge of load securing procedures.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 low loader vehicle to transport plant and machinery.
• Load and secure equipment safely using appropriate restraints.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time.
• Complete relevant paperwork and adhere to transport regulations.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
• Communicate professionally with site managers, customers, and transport teams.
• Represent the company in a professional manner whilst on site and on the road.
