Job summary

The Best Connection Eastbourne is recruiting a Class 1 Low Loader Driver in Heathfield to transport plant and machinery across sites. You will load and secure equipment, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure on-time deliveries. Role requires a valid Cat C+E licence, CPC card, and tachograph card, with flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Hold valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence.
• Hold CPC Qualification Card.
• Hold Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience operating low loader vehicles.
• Knowledge of load securing procedures.
• Awareness of road safety and transport regulations.
• Flexible hours including nights/weekends."
• Good communication and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 low loader to transport plant and machinery.
• Load and secure equipment safely with restraints.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed on time.
• Complete relevant paperwork and follow transport regulations.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
• Communicate professionally with site managers, customers and teams.
• Represent the company on site and on the road.
