Job summary

GTS Group Ltd is partnering with a company that designs and manufactures EV charging hardware. We seek a Low-Level Embedded Software Engineer to own on-device software from hardware interfaces to secure remote monitoring of chargers in the field.

You will write and deploy software that runs directly on EV charging hardware, collaborating with the wider team to ensure clean hardware-software integration and to design on-device capabilities for remote control, interrogation, and remote diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems on Linux-based targets.
• Experience deploying software on embedded hardware platforms (Yocto/Buildroot).
• Familiarity with industrial protocols RS485, Modbus, CAN.
• Knowledge of CCS/ISO 15118 standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and deploy on-device software that runs on EV charging hardware and integrates with hardware interfaces.
• Design on-device capabilities for remote control, interrogation and debugging of chargers.
• Promote robust software practices including version control, testing, CI, and documentation.
