Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to optimize the trading environment and resolve system issues across global data centers. You will work with traders, operations, exchanges, and developers to ensure high availability and performance of the production platform.

The role requires a major in CS/Engineering or related field, strong Linux/UNIX skills, Python, and solid networking knowledge, with the ability to perform under pressure within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Major in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX OS including shell scripting.
• Practical working knowledge of Python and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor health and performance of the trading platform.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking issues.
• Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for low-latency trading.
• Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment.
• Coordinate changes with risk management and trading teams; manage incidents.
• Define and document processes and procedures.
