Job summary

G-Research is seeking a highly skilled low latency network engineer to join the Colo Infrastructure team in London. You will design scalable co-location network solutions and push for ultrafast performance across the platform.

Responsibilities include latency optimization, automation development, and on-call incident support to ensure reliability. A strong background in timing, packet capture, and WAN connectivity is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering highly available networks for latency-sensitive platforms.
• Strong background in low-latency networking and timing technologies (GPS, PTP, NTP).
• Experience with packet capture/analysis and optical taps for diagnostics.
• Familiarity with WAN options focused on diversity and latency reduction.
• Ability to build automation for infrastructure using Git, Python, Jenkins, Ansible.
• Knowledge of multicast configuration and troubleshooting in COLO environments.
• Comfort with on-call incident response and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build co-location network solutions to support the platform.
• Optimize performance, latency and throughput of the infrastructure.
• Lifecycle management and monitoring of Colo Network environment.
• Develop automation and operators to extend the infrastructure.
• Collaborate with platform and development teams to standardize practices.
• Contribute to incident response and production reliability.
• Handle on-call responsibilities for critical infrastructure components.
